This is the best place to go get your hair done. I’ve been coming here for a year and a half for nanolink extensions. Emmy does my hair and she always makes me feel amazing. The first time I came here I’d come from a previous hairdresser that had messed up my extensions and I was afraid I was going to have to cut a lot of my own hair off due to it having matted. They took me in with no notice and fixed/saved my hair and i didn’t have to cut any of it off and I’m so grateful. Everyone here is really kind and all the hair dressers are very detail oriented. The hair bundles they have are also really good quality . I recommend coming here 10/10.

A couple of days ago I went to an excellent barber shop called the Afro Hair Studio. The vibe of the place was amazing, the music taste was exceptional, and the staff were very friendly. When I walked into the shop, I instantly felt welcomed, and we barley had to wait to get seated in the barber’s chair. I went into the shop to get a skin fade and when the hair cut was done, I looked in the mirror and instantly loved the haircut. The lineup was sooo crisp and he curled my hair so nicely I must say I was instantly impressed with the results and loved the haircut Soo much. And when we left the barber shop my mom had paid for one hour of parking, but it only took 25 minutes. I would sincerely recommend this barber shop for anyone with black or mixed type hair. - NK age 12

JUST UPDATING MY REVIEW. The quality of work is good. Not an issue. However, after I posted this review about "make sure you check with pricing prior to getting your hair done" I returned with my daughter and asked for the same thing I had done last time (medium single box braids) which I was charged $185 including hair. I didn't ask the price prior bc I received the same service as last time. In fact the back, the boxes were a lot bigger this time which I was able to provide photos to show the difference. When asking to pay they had to call someone to check on the price and 10 mins later came back to me with $280 dollars plus the cost of hair!!!!! I couldn't believe it. The gentleman first said they could not remember what they charged me last time bc it wasn't written down and had they had to call someone, then came back with $280 but I saw $185 on my profile. Then it was bc they didn't charge me enough last time? Then he said when I guess we both didn't talk about it prior so it is both our faults. That's when I realised it was bc of my review. I pointed out that is their responsibility to set pricing and inform your clients. How is that your customers problem? I told them politely that there is no way I would pay that amount of money. After several phone calls and conversations we agreed upon $185 plus $30 for hair. I feel ripped off and taken advantage of. My daughter is 7 years old. She is going to be doing her hair for many more years and you just lost a client bc of your UNETHICAL on the spot, different for every client pricing. _________________________ Have taken my son and daughter here 2 times and both times left smiling! Talk prices first as they are not posted, but they have never changed once agreed upon and they always make us feel comfortable and welcome. Loved our stylist, she is so sweet! So good with kids!! And of course hair 🥰

Was nervous about having my self-maintained locs serviced for the first time. Could not be happier with the outcome and experience!! Mary was so kind and fun, she worked fast and we shared laughs and thoughts on a lot of topics. Her colleague Satomi (sorry if misspelled) came in to help with the process as well, and was also really pleasant. The girls there are very talented and know what they're doing. They worked so quick while making the experience really warm and fun. It was also extremely affordable for how much work they put into my hair. Can't recommend this place enough! Thank you guys so much for cleaning my hair up!! 💘💘

I’ve been going to Afro Hair Studio for a few years to get hair care products for my husband and myself. I’ve bought a synthetic wig here too! Recently Emmy styled my wig on two occasions for my sisters wedding! Both styles were stunning and held all night long! The staff here are very accommodating and their pricing is reasonable!

I was getting married and needed to get a haircut & to also trim my beard (for the first time ever as I had let it grow freely for 4 years). Afro Hair Studio was recommended to me and so I made an appointment. Upon arriving at the shop, the staff were very friendly and was seated in Abraham's chair. We talked about how I wanted the beard & haircut to look and when he was done - I looked so fresh & so clean! While he was working on my cut, I mentioned I have a dry scalp issue and so Abraham suggested a few different products. So far, the oil I ended up purchasing has helped my scalp and have even used it on my beard. Always great finding neighbourhood shops run by great people! Thanks to Abraham and the Afro Hair Studio team!
